The role of Licensed Practitioner is to assist individuals in making changes in their lives by making changes in their consciousness. The fundamental tool of the Professional Practitioner is Spiritual Mind Treatment, also called Affirmative Prayer. Religious Science Practitioners are specifically trained to shift consciousness on behalf of and for the individual through the use of this tool.
The effectiveness of Spiritual Mind Treatment is based on the fundamental law of the Universe that all true and lasting changes take place as a result of a change in consciousness. A practitioner does this by assisting the individual in adopting new beliefs, perspectives and attitudes. As the beliefs, perspectives and attitudes change, this changes the vibratory point of attraction of the individual and new conditions and situations are attracted into the life of the individual. In addition, they assist the individual in making ongoing changes in their consciousness and aligning their thoughts, feeling and actions with the new beliefs.
At the Spiritual Enrichment Center, Professional Practitioners participate in the Sunday service by leading the Sunday Morning Meditation prior to the service; providing affirmative prayer and inspirational reading during the service; and, they are available for individual affirmative prayer after the service. Licensed Practitioners also teach classes and provide individual spiritual counseling.
The United Centers for Spiritual Living grants the license to practice as a Professional Practitioner of Religious Science. Licenses must be renewed every two years to maintain a high level of professionalism. Our pledge to you is our Covenant of Healing.
The Professional Practitioners' purpose is to foster a deepening awareness of a loving Presence and inner peace among all who call upon us for support. Working with a Professional Practitioner can help you work through situations and learn how to sustain results. Sometimes a person is too close to a situation to arrive at an objective viewpoint. An individual spiritual counseling session with a Professional Practitioner can help you understand your challenge and its possible cause. It can also be an opportunity to receive support to expand and increase good experiences in life that already present. Licensed Practitioners are available on a professional fee basis for individual spiritual counseling and affirmative prayer.
Professional Practitioners are also available for affirmative prayer after service each Sunday, through the Ministry of Prayer, during the Call to Prayer portion of the service on the first Sunday of each month, and through the Prayer of Beholding. Every year members are a given a free Professional Practitioner session with the Practitioner of their choice as a birthday gift.
